Terms & Conditions

Last updated 15 August 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

Biryani Paglu (β€œthe Service”) is operated by Freelance IT Guy, trading as Biryani Paglu (β€œwe”, β€œus”). By creating an account, listing a shop or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. You confirm you are of legal age and, if acting for a business, that you have authority to bind it.

2. What we provide

The Service is a biryani discovery guide and a listing platform for biryani shops. Shop owners may publish a shop profile and menu, and may opt their shop into the Hall of Fame β€” free of charge β€” to be displayed in the Hall of Fame section and to collect customer reviews on their shop page.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep it current, keep your credentials confidential, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the Service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or deceptive listings;
  • publish content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes anyone's intellectual property;
  • post fake, incentivised or misleading reviews, or reviews about a competitor's shop;
  • interfere with the security of the Service β€” malware, probing, scraping, or circumventing technical limits;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the shop details, images and reviews you submit, and grant us a limited licence to host, display and process that content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, menus and prices.

6. Intellectual property

We retain ownership of the Service, its software, editorial content, design and branding. Your account grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service.

7. Service level and warranties

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination your listings stop being displayed; you may request an export of your data within 30 days.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to INR 1,000, and we exclude indirect, consequential or special damages including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.

10. General

You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do.

11. Contact
