Who we are
Freelance IT Guy, trading as Biryani Paglu, is the data controller for personal data processed through this site. Contact us at aakash.bhkta32@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Account data (email, password hash, display name, avatar): to create and secure your account — necessary to perform our contract with you.
- Shop listing data (shop name, address, phone, website, menus, images): to publish your listing — contract performance.
- Reviews (reviewer name, rating, review text): to display social proof on Hall of Fame shop pages — legitimate interests and, where you submit one, your own request.
- Favourites and usage/telemetry (pages viewed, device type, IP address, error logs): to operate, secure and improve the Service — legitimate interests.
- Support messages: to answer you — legitimate interests.
We do not collect or process any payment or card details — the Service is free to use.
Who we share it with
- Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database and authentication infrastructure, error monitoring and support tooling.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Account, listing and review data is kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months afterwards. After that we delete or anonymise the data.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Subject to local law you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email aakash.bhkta32@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK/EEA you may also complain to your supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on the database and least-privilege access for administrators.
Cookies and local storage
We use only essential cookies and browser storage — to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings, though signing in will no longer persist.
